BabiesNow! Foundation collaborates with Denver-area nonprofit organizations to meet a basic and ongoing need for mothers and babies: diapers and wipes. These essentials provide relief to mothers and families who are struggling to afford these items and encourages them to continue on a path toward self-sufficiency. Importantly, these essentials are almost never covered by government assistance.
Funding provided by BabiesNow! supports the purchase of diapers and wipes that are used as incentives to encourage participation in programs benefiting parents and their babies. For example, these programs encourage parents to attend childbirth classes, finish their education, attend parenting classes, complete substance-abuse counseling, and attend regular well-baby check-ups.
Each year, BabiesNow! supports many community organizations across the Denver metro area, including Children’s Hospital of Colorado Adolescent Maternity Program (“CAMP”), Florence Crittenton High School, Doctor’s Care, Boulder County Public Health – GENESIS, and Aurora Public Schools Young Parenting Program. CAMP remarks:
“We used the diapers and wipes donated by BabiesNow! As incentives for attending well-child visits, for patients who demonstrated gains in positive parenting behaviors, and for pregnant young women and their partners who attend prenatal, infant, and parenting classes.”
Since 2009, grants awarded by BabiesNow! provided hundreds of thousands of diapers and of wipes to moms, babies and families. With your support, we can grow this number in 2018!
This Mother’s Day, we hope you will consider making a tax-deductible gift to BabiesNow! to honor the women and babies in your life! A $25 contribution purchases 125 diapers for a family in need, while a gift of $100 purchases 500 diapers! Gifts of all sizes are meaningful to our work. Because BabiesNow! is an all-volunteer run organization, we can ensure that your gift will directly support mothers, families, and most importantly—babies.
Thank you for partnering with BabiesNow! this Mother’s Day and generously supporting mothers and babies across our community!
